Ms. Jonelle L. Gurley

I am currently in my third year at Nantucket High School, this year being my second year teaching CP Mathematics. Prior to teaching, I worked as a Veterinary Technician at Offshore Animal Hospital and a Chemistry Lab Teaching Technician at the University of Connecticut, Storrs CT. I have lived on Nantucket since 2013 and though I am a "Washashore" to Nantucket, I am truly an island native at heart. I attended and subsequently graduated from American International College in Springfield Massachusetts in 2011, where I studied Chemistry and International Business while playing Division II Volleyball. It was in college that I first started working with High School aged children in an Upward Bound Collegiate program that identified and supported students who would be first-time college goers to ensure their success in on their track to and during college. When not in the classroom, you can find me at the beach or running my six-year-old dog Zeus. I am very thrilled to be a part of the NHS family and working with the population of students I teach daily.
