Ms. Kate Pelletier Andrews

An island native, I came back to Nantucket in college to rediscover my roots and to branch out from my hometown of Hingham, MA.  I then earned my Bachelor of Arts from Lafayette College with a double major in English and Art History, and briefly lived in New York upon graduating. Shortly thereafter, in pursuit of an inspirational place in which to oil paint, I again found Nantucket. I joined the faculty at the Nantucket Lighthouse School in 2008. During my eight years at this Waldorf- inspired school, I taught Small School, Kinderclass, and older and younger-aged Primary classes. In 2010, I received a Masters of Education from Fitchburg State University. I am happy to have recently joined NES as a Teaching assistant in the second grade.
