Miss Murray

Hello families!

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! This is my fourth year working as a Special Education Liaison. Last year I co-taught in Kindergarten with Mrs. Abbott and Miss Murphy, and this year I will be doing the same! Previous to that experience, I was a daily substitute in various classrooms, a long-term sub in our Pathways Early Intervention program, and a Kindergarten T.A. I was also a liaison for First Grade for 2 years. 

Although I am from Nantucket, I attended school in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, I attended Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where I completed a five year program. I earned my B.A. in Elementary and Special Education, as well as a M.A. with a Reading Specialist concentration.

I love living here on Nantucket and I appreciate all of the wonderful things our community has to offer. We are lucky to live here! I enjoy walking my dog, Peanut, spending time at the beach, reading, and traveling.

I am an active member of Nantucket S.T.A.R – I love supporting and including many of my students outside the academic world in our programs such as Sensory Art, Cooking, Ocean Adventures, STAR Troopers Camp, Water Sports and Crossfit!
