I am the Director of Facilities and Grounds at the Nantucket Public Schools, I have been in this position since August 2013.  Before coming here I was the Chief Procurement Officer for the Town of Nantucket for 8 ½ years. In my former position I took care of the Town’s buildings when they were in need of upgrades and repairs because the Town didn’t have a Facilities Director at the time.  I had no idea my work with the Town with respect to the upkeep of the buildings would turn me toward my current position.   I love my team here at the NPS and love what I do.  I oversee building projects and repairs, capital planning, three building supervisors and one grounds supervisor and the custodian and grounds team members, together we make up a team of 31 people.  I also still write bids and contracts as they pertain to the work going on at the schools.


When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with family, friends & my dogs.  I love the beach with a good book, boating, shell fishing and basically anything to do with the ocean.  I am a member of the Nantucket Angler’s Club, a 15 year board member of the Homestead and I volunteer for many Island events.
