I am currently teaching 6th-grade mathematics at the Cyrus Peirce Middle School. This is my third year teaching mathematics on Nantucket, where I was born and raised. I have held multiple positions as a classroom teacher, a co-teacher, and a math interventionist position. Prior to teaching on Nantucket I attended and graduated from Lesley University majoring in both Elementary Education and Mathematics. I currently hold an initial licensure in Elementary Education and have passed the MTEL for Math 5-8. Currently, while teaching I am completing a Graduate program through Fitchburg State University majoring in Curriculum Planning and am due to graduate Spring 2019.  I am enthusiastic, hardworking, positive, and caffeinated and I am inspired by my students, colleagues, and the community.
