Mr. Lucas

Hello CPS students and families,

I love teaching Social Studies in the 6th grade at CPS and I look forward to meeting you in my classroom. 

World Cultures I is a combination of World Geography, Ancient Civilization, and Modern Cultures. The class is an excellent opportunity to learn with 6th graders about the many ways we are connected to each other as members of one human race, both through time and across the globe.  

A native Kentuckian, I found my way to Nantucket during college years at The University of Virginia where I studied English and American Studies.  I recently earned my M.Ed from Fitchburg State and I look forward to serving the Nantucket Public Schools at CPS for many years to come.  

When I'm not at school I'm happiest riding a bike, throwing a frisbee, or spending time with my wife and our two young children.
