Mrs. Susan Hayford

I spent my entire youth, from the age of three months, as a summer resident. After completing my education (B.A. Mount Holyoke College, M.F.A. Rochester Institute of Technology, and M.A.T. Rhode Island School of Design) and early into my marriage, I chose to make Nantucket my year round home. My husband and I have two Nantucket native sons who have gone through our schools from kindergarten through high school. While early on I thought I might have a classroom here, I decided to pursue a variety of different career paths including working in real estate and being a contractor lumber sales person. I have happily been a teaching assistant at Cyrus Peirce Middle School since January 1999. I particularly enjoy traveling when I have the opportunity and have been on every continent at least once with the exception of Antarctica.
