THE NES LIBRARY
Greetings from the Nantucket Elementary School Library! My name is Mary McGuinness and I’m in my 30th Year at Nantucket Elementary School. I was a classroom teacher before becoming the NES Librarian in 2017. Over the years I have taught Special Education, Grade 1, and Kindergarten.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies, a Masters in Child Development/Early Childhood, and a Master’s in Library Media. I am a certified PreK-3 Teacher and Library Media Teacher. I am also SEI endorsed.
I was born and raised on Nantucket and I feel very fortunate to be able to give back to my community. My husband John is a High School History Teacher, and I have two daughters, Bridget and Kathryn, and a very spoiled golden retriever named Stella! I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.
