Miss Andrea Maher

I am one of the reading specialists at Nantucket Elementary School. I have been teaching at Nantucket Public Schools and living on Nantucket since 2003. I have a Masters in Reading from Salem State College and a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Bridgewater State College. I am also the director of the NPS summer program. 

I enjoy kayaking, playing golf, traveling, going to Red Sox games, and spending time with friends. I often go off-island with my three pugs to visit family and friends. My favorite holiday is Halloween! I love dressing up in a group-themed costume and going into town! My favorite NES event is Family Literacy Night in March!
