Ms. Kimberly Albertson

In my life, I have always tried to model how to help others value education by gaining knowledge or access to books, sports, art, or music with a little patience and time. Growing up, I knew that being a teacher was going to be something I would love and always have "fun" doing.

As a veteran teacher in the Nantucket Public Schools, I always loved being a leader in our district.  I stepped into the role of Assistant Principal in 2019  and believe I have offered teachers support and continued guidance to raise the bar of education at NES. I understand the tremendous work we have as educators and have been so proud of how our staff has handled our world and local changes. It takes the village working together for success.

My undergraduate work was at the University of Vermont and my graduate work was at Wheelock College. I am a certified teacher with the following professional licenses:

Early Childhood: Students With or Without Disabilities PreK - 3;

Elementary, 1-6;

Special Needs PreK - 9;

Principal/Assistant Principal,  PreK-6 

SEI (sheltered English Immersion) endorsement.

MTEL Communication and Literacy Skills Reading and Writing: PASSED
