Degrees and Certifications:
Masters in Education
Ms. Kimberly Albertson
In my life, I have always tried to model how to help others value education by gaining knowledge or access to books, sports, art, or music with a little patience and time. Growing up, I knew that being a teacher was going to be something I would love and always have "fun" doing.
For 27 years in the Nantucket Public Schools, I have loved being a leader in the classroom. I am stepping into a new role, Assistant Principal, because I believe I can offer teachers support and my classroom experience to continue to raise the bar of education at NES. I have shaped many young new teachers and feel that it is time to step up in a new role!
Please know that I welcome feedback and hope to model best practice, kindness and student success!
My undergraduate work was at the University of Vermont and my graduate work was at Wheelock College. I am a certified teacher with the following professional licenses:
Early Childhood: Students With or Without Disabilities PreK - 3;
Special Needs PreK - 9;
Principal/Assistant Principal, PreK-6, Initial;
SEI (sheltered English Immersion) endorsement.
MTEL Communication and Literacy Skills Reading and Writing: PASSED
