Michelle Saravia

Michelle was born in El Salvador and is a native Spanish speaker who moved to California when she was 12 where she completed diplomas as a Medical Assistant and Airport Dispatcher. Michelle began working full time with NCS in  September 2015. After being part time previously in different capacities, Michelle now serves as our Spanish speaking Interpreter and support staff to all departments, particularly the Early Childhood branch.

Michelle is passionate about helping the diverse population on Nantucket and her outreach efforts have been instrumental in educating and informing the Hispanic population about the importance of Early Childhood Education in their child's life. She is also an assistant in our ESOL classes for adults and has recently become certified as an interpreter through Language Connections. When Michelle is not at work she enjoys spending time with her teenage son and also has a daughter in school in California who visits during the Summers.
