Ms. Sarah Erichsen

After leaving my hometown of Nantucket to attend college in Amherst, MA and Newport, RI, I just had to come back! I love feeling like I give back to a community that contributed so much to me. I work closely with NPS' low income families, expanding the Free & Reduced Lunch program and directing those in need to additional community resources, as well as in the Technology Department fixing computers.

Outside of work, I soak up as much of "Nantucket" as I can. I am a Literacy Volunteer with adult English language learners at the Nantucket Atheneum. I also enjoy learning more about the local ecology on conservation land around the island, and my favorite exercise is cleaning up the island's beaches... weather permitting. One day, I hope to actually get my O'Day Daysailor seaworthy.
