Ms. Emily Tessier

Hello! My name is Emily Tessier and I teach history and advise the Drama Club at Nantucket High School. I grew up in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts and attended the public school system there. I graduated from Emmanuel College in Boston in 2019 with a dual major in History & Secondary Education and a minor in Theatre Arts. Prior to moving to the island, I worked as a Park Ranger for Lowell National Historical Park where I gave guided tours of the Lowell Canal System and designed free, fun, family programming for low-income families in the city. I am currently working towards my MA in American History through Pace University & the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.

I moved to ACK in the summer of 2019 and immediately fell in love with the island. When I am not teaching or directing, you can probaly find me hiking through Nantucket's gorgeous conservation land, chilling on the beach, or rewatching New Girl for the millionth time.
