Welcome to my Social Studies Classroom at Nantucket High School, on Nantucket Island Massachusetts, USA.
I have been living and teaching on Nantucket since 1992. I taught Special Education between 1989 and 2000, and started teaching History and Social Studies in the fall of 2001. My classes try to take a big-picture, cause & effect view of History. We focus on the major themes and forces that run throughout the course of history. All of my classes, regardless of specific subjects, try to answer one over-arching central question:
Why is the world the way it is today? What brought us to this moment in human history?
