Rob Norton

I grew up in Boston where I attended Catholic Memorial High School. I graduated from Boston College as an undergraduate and earned my Master’s degree in Education from University of Massachusetts at Amherst. I am a proud member of the Nantucket High School English Department. My first year teaching at Nantucket High School was in 1998. It has been extremely rewarding for me to witness the growth and development of students over the years. I have enjoyed being class advisor and mentoring new teachers. Besides teaching at NHS, I have taught English at Amherst Regional High School in Amherst, MA and Hampshire Regional High School in Westhampton, MA. I am married to Kathryn, an instructional coach in the Nantucket school system. We share our sweet home with our naughty dog, Finn. Some of the activities I love are reading thoughtful stories, traveling to new destinations, riding my mountain bike, zipping around on my Vespa, as well as spending quality time with extended family and great friends.
